Coil Carts are becoming popular items as they are able to pick up coils from stands, deliver them lineside and load directly onto the decoiler mandrel.
Thus, saving floor space (No coil cradle) and with no heavy duty fork truck required a saving on costs and man power.

With the limited available floor space usually available in a press shop, and the high cost of new and even ‘used’ presses, many companies are embracing the need to enhance their tool changing methods as an alternative to adding more capital plant. This ‘method change’ option also carries with it the bonus of improved productivity and reduced down time!
It is possible to reduce tool changing time to an absolute minimum and so open up an extended production period on each press. Uptime gained on several presses is soon equivalent to the purchase of a new press, and at a fraction of the cost.
Special Purpose Transporters
100 ton Special Purpose Transporters are based on the Die Carts specification. If the Hedin Lagan units can transport 50,000kg press tools, they can transport other heavy items also. Transformers, earth moving vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, wind turbine generators are items currently being transport within factories around the world.
Heavy Duty Movers are able to move more freely within a factory space, not confined by the travel of the overhead crane.
In some cases it has been advantageous to use Automated Guided Vehicle's (AGV's) to accurately drive units into confined spaces.

Die Carts
The Die Cart has a capacity range covering 2,000kg, up to 80,000kg. The Hedin Lagan Die Carts are designed to take the strain out of your tool handling operations, saving you time, money, increasing production uptime and enhance Health and Safety issues.
The Die Carts are capable of lifting & transporting tools up to 80,000kg. They have a ‘purpose designed’ battery charging system, and each customer is able to use the inbuilt diagnostic control system to adjust the speed and performance of the Die Cart. They have the ability to rotate 90 degrees about their axis on either side of the payload, allowing the tool to completely turn on its axis and manoeuvre in confined spaces.
The Hedin Lagan Die Carts are specifically manufactured to transfer tools on/off press beds and racking. The hydraulic height adjustment of up to 800mm meets the flexibility required to load and unload from various press bed heights. The Hedin Lagan Die Carts are produced from standard modular parts up to 4 metres in length, however ‘specials‘ can always be manufactured.
Operator control of all movement is from the handle via push buttons. 24 volt power from the battery pack drives the hydraulic pump unit, and the control valves are of standard industrial type. ISO/cetop 03 with 24v = (DC) solenoids. Power steering controlled by hand held control pendant either by umbilical cord or wireless can be provided.
