Our agreement for sales and support of AGMES’s range of Rivet Machines, Hydraulic and Servo Presses and Automated Assembly Solutions throughout the UK and Ireland.
With over 30 years’ experience in the hydraulic press and automated assembly machines, and in addition to our existing agreement with Hydraulico Presses of Denmark, Premitec are able to offer sales and support for hydraulic presses from 2-tons to 5,000-tons.
About AGME:
AGME was founded in 1948 in the Eibar in the Basque region of Spain a short distance from the City of Bilbao.
Its industrial activity began manufacturing tools and dies for automotive companies in the area.
Between 1960 and 1970 the first rivet machines were designed and manufactured, followed shortly after by a range of hydraulic presses.
In the 70’s & 80’s more models of AGME hydraulic and pneumatic riveters were added to the range and the first automated assembly modules are also produced, this included simple modules, rotary transfers and automatic assembly lines.
1980-90
Creation of the R&D department. The first Flexible Riveting Centres (CNC) are launched. Large production and sales increase of assembly rotary transfers and flexible palletised lines in domestic and European markets.
1990-2000
Extension of facilities at the existing site were needed as dedicated departments for Custom-Built Machines Engineering, R+D Engineering and Electronic/Automation Engineering were created
2000-2005
Development and launch of our third generation of riveting machines. Creation of a sales network in the USA, China and India.
2005-2010
Foreign markets business consolidation. Marketing department creation. Strengthening of our global presence through the appointment of new distributors in Portugal, Italy and Belgium. New assembly technologies incorporation through technological partners´ collaboration. Wide introduction in the automotive OEM as a special assembly machines supplier. AGME is appointed new distributor in Spain of Walther Systemtechnik Fluids application systems.
2010-2015
Consolidation as an automatic assembly machines supplier to major world Automotive Tier 1 manufacturers: providing hinges, seat tracks, cushions, ball joints, tie rods and recliner assembly solutions. Launching of more AGME standard machines and electric presses, servo presses and servo riveting machines with the AGME brand.
